Cristiano Ronaldo takes ‘better player’ challenge, picks Man Utd greats ahead of Real Madrid legends

Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo recently took a ‘better player’ challenge that featured the likes of some of the greatest of his teammates that he has played with in his career.

Ronaldo has played for and against some of the greatest names in the game throughout his incredible career panning across two decades. In the process, he achieved some astonishing records, while fighting for his claim as the ‘GOAT’ against Argentine legend Lionel Messi.

The Portuguese maestro is still going pretty strong at the age of 39, having featured for some of the best clubs in the world and continuously showcasing his goalscoring talent for them as well as for his national team.

In a candid talk with his former Manchester United teammate Rio Ferdinand on his recently launched YouTube channel, Ronaldo was asked to pick between some of his most incredible former teammates and Real Madrid’s latest new signing, Kylian Mbappe.

Who did Cristiano Ronaldo choose?

Rio started by asking him his choices between Paul Scholes and Gary Neville. He chose Scholes and continued to do so in duels against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Carlos Tevez. Ronaldo was then asked to choose between David Beckham and Angel Di Maria and he chose Beckham. Rio followed up with asking his choice out of Beckham and Ryan Giggs and the Al-Nassr star then chose Giggs.

This was followed up by a plethora of players like Sergio Ramos, Pepe, Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez, Marcelo, Xabi Alonso and Toni Kroos, but Ronaldo chose Ryan Giggs ahead of every single one of them. However, the Welshman eventually came third as CR7 chose Karim Benzema above him. The last choice posed by Ferdinand was one between Benzema and Kylian Mbappe and Ronaldo closed the discussion by choosing Mbappe has his final pick.
