Cristiano Ronaldo becomes first footballer ever to score 900 career goals

Portugal legend Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first player in football history to score 900 career goals for club and country.

The Real Madrid great achieved this feat by scoring Portugal’s second goal in the UEFA Nations League opener in Lisbon against Croatia on Thursday.

His former Manchester United colleague Diogo Dalot had given Portugal the lead in the seventh minute of the game before Ronaldo struck 11 minutes before half-time to reach the magical 900 figure.

Ronaldo has scored 450 goals for Real Madrid, 145 for Manchester United, 131 for Portugal, 101 for Juventus, 68 for his current team Al-Nassr and five for his boyhood club Sporting Lisbon.
