Rap superstar Lil Wayne surprises fans by revealing favorite Premier League team

Rap icon Lil Wayne has revealed his favourite Premier League team and it’s not one you’d expect. During a recent Instagram live session the 41-year-old artist who is widely celebrated for his influential role in the hip-hop scene disclosed that he is a big fan of Tottenham Hotspur.

Known for his hit albums like Tha Carter III and tracks such as “Lollipop” and “A Milli,” Lil Wayne caught fans off guard when he shared his love for Spurs.

While working in the studio, he confessed, “I’m in the studio, I’m in here watching the Premier League. You already know my favorite team is Tottenham, I don’t know if you know about that but that is my favorite team.”

Tottenham Hotspur were quick to respond to Lil Wayne’s surprise revelation. Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the club extended an invitation to the American rapper, posting, “Hey @LilTunechi, when you coming to a game?”

Although Lil Wayne is currently gearing up for a U.S. tour starting on August 31 in Las Vegas, there’s hope that he might take Spurs up on their offer later in the year. His schedule is packed until October 19 but a visit to North London could be in the cards once his tour wraps up.
