Victor Osimhen axed by Antonio Conte after Chelsea transfer offer

Napoli forward Victor Osimhen has not featured in any of the club’s pre-season games this summer as the club continues to negotiate his exit. The Nigerian forward was dropped in Napoli’s 2-0 defeat to Genoa on Saturday evening.

The 25-year-old is poised to sanction a move with Chelsea plotting an agreement to sign him on loan and Romelu Lukaku heading to Napoli over a permanent deal. Napoli are holding out a €130m (£110.8m) clause for the Nigerian striker.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are demanding a €35m (£29.8m) fee for Romelu Lukaku, who is Conte’s top transfer target in this summer window.
