Kevin De Bruyne played a pivotal part in Man City’s 2023-24 Premier League title win despite injury concerns

Kevin De Bruyne suffered a hamstring injury blow during Man City’s match against Burnley in August 2023, he was then out of the on-field action for about five months. He then made his on-field return on January 7, 2024, in an FA Cup tie against Huddersfield Town. The Belgian attacking midfielder played just 18 games for City in an injury-marked season. But, even in those games, he managed a stellar sum of around 14 goal contributions (four goals and 10 assists). His on-field chemistry with Erling Haaland attributed to Pep Guardiola’s side getting those important wins towards the latter end of the season and lifting the title, when the pressure was severely high with Arsenal bearing down on them in the title race.
