Los Angeles FC (LAFC) hold major card in Olivier Giroud to MLS transfer saga
The AC Milan forward Olivier Giroud has been linked up with a potential transfer to MLS in the upcoming summer transfer window of 2024. Rumours regarding his move to MLS have been heating up lately as reports earlier termed that American club LAFC is in advance negotiations with Giroud’s Seria A club AC Milan over signing the player.
Also, LAFC is currently depicted to be in the driving seat as far as Olivier Giroud to MLS transfer saga is concerned. Reports suggest the Los Angeles-based club owns the player’s discovery rights in MLS over any other rival club. This enables them to pen down a contract with him before any other competitor club does it.
Olivier Giroud’s current contract details with AC Milan
Olivier Giroud joined the Seria A club AC Milan from the Premier League giants Chelsea in July 2021. His current contract with the Italian club lasts till June 2024.
