Liverpool suffer Diogo Jota injury scare in their Premier League title race
The Premier League title race of Liverpool might be in jeopardy after Diogo Jota’s injury. The forward is one of the crucial forward options for the Reds manager Jurgen Klopp leading into the closing stages of their 2023-2024 season campaign. Jota was just back among the playing eleven and seems to contributing effectively to Klopp’s plans but another injury would see him out for a significant amount of time.
Jurgen Klopp has reportedly admitted – “unfortunately Diogo Jota scored a goal and felt a bit – he will be out for two weeks”.
Jota scored a 72nd-minute goal against Fulham at the craven cottage to hand his side a 3-1 victory in their previous league outing. Soon after that he looked in quite some discomfort and was attended by the club’s medical staff. However, his injury being confirmed now, he may return to the on-field action after the first week of May.

Diogo Jota’s injury is a concerning blow for the Reds because he’s been a significant contributor to them in the ongoing season. In 21 appearances for Liverpool in the Premier League 2023-2024 campaign he has notched up a magnificent tally of 10 goals and three assists to his name. They would be hoping that he returns soon to the first-team squad.
