Last 10 Tottenham Hotspur manager list | Club Reign

Since 1961, Spurs have not won any silverware at the big stages. Yet they are considered one of the finest in Premier League. And over the past few years, the best Tottenham Hotspur managers had a big part to play in this.

In recent years, the club has been in the shadows of their former selves. The highest they have reached silverware is in the 2019 Champions League finals, which they lost against the mighty Liverpool. While Spurs have been fighting tooth and nail to be in the top 4 in the Premier League, their rivals Arsenal are frequently seen leading the League table and putting in solid performances on European night fixtures.

Since Spurs won silverware last time, which was in the 2007-08 League Cup, the Gunners have won eight trophies. Despite their drive to be table toppers consistently and have better games in European fixtures, they have failed to maintain consistency. Their best win rate tracks back to the reign of Frank Bretell way back in the 1890s.

While he seemed to be pushing Tottenham for the title challenge, it all fell apart as the squad got scattered. The more pressure mounted, the more frustrated he became.

Conte helped Spurs qualify for the Champions League for the next season. In 2023, he left the club upon mutual agreement. Known for his tactical knowledge and charismatic personality, his tenure was rather an interesting one. Following the departure of Mauricio, fans were worried about the arrival of Jose. Despite managing the Treble with Porto and Inter Milan, fans were rather skeptical of the arrival of the special one.

Jose was sacked right before the League Cup final, which Spurs had lost under Ryan Mason. Mourinho too felt that the locker room was lacking character and there were no high standards held for the performance of the team.

Many fans believed that Pochettino would come back to Spurs after the departure of Antonio Conte given he has some unfinished business, failing to win the League title from Leicester City (props to the Eden Hazard goal) and failing to win the Champions League against Liverpool even after putting up the performance of a lifetime against an in-form Ajax at 2nd Leg in the Semi-Finals.
