Man City vs Luton Preview, Prediction and Betting Tips | Premier League

Man City vs Luton Preview

Man City vs Luton will take place in the Premier League at the Etihad Stadium as the third-placed side takes on the 18th-placed side on April 13.

The hosts will enter this contest on the back of a solid run of form. They are unbeaten in their last seven games across competitions, winning four and drawing three of those. In that run, City have scored an impressive 17 goals and conceded just eight. They defeated Aston Villa 4-1 at home before securing an emphatic 4-2 win at Crystal Palace. Pep Guardiola and his men will look to continue the winning run to maintain the pace with teams above them.

The visitors, on the other hand, will enter this game on the back of a worrying run of form. They have won just once in their last eight games across competitions, losing five and drawing two of the remaining matches. In that span, they have conceded 20 goals and scored 11 goals as they desperately fight for survival in the Premier League. They lost 2-1 at Tottenham and then 2-0 at Arsenal, before beating Bournemouth 2-1 in their last outing. Rob Edwards and his men will look for more of the same in their next one.

That said, let’s take a look at the team news coming out from both camps.

Man City vs Luton Team News

Guardiola could be without three key players for his team’s next league game. Kyle Walker and Nathan Ake did not travel with the squad to Spain to face Real Madrid and are likely to remain sidelined for the next game as well. Phil Foden is another injury concern after he came off late with a knock against Los Blancos.

Meanwhile, Kevin De Bruyne missed the last game through illness and should be fit in time to face Luton. As of now, none of Man City’s players face the risk of suspension or accumulation of cards.

Luton

Edwards has done quite well to navigate through injury-stricken weeks lately and even managed to win the last game. However, he will again be without several key players.

Elijah Adebayo, Tom Lockyer, Marvelous Nakamba, Chiedozie Ogbene, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Amari’I Bell have all been sidelined for a considerable amount of time. While this has led to severe shortages in personnel, Luton have shown great spirit to cope with it.
