Manchester United’s Interest Looms over Pedri as the Barca midfielder up for sale.

Manchester United’s Interest Looms as Barcelona Midfielder Pedri Is Put Up for Sale

Manchester United are making waves in the transfer market this summer, as the club’s focus is shifting towards Barcelona ace midfielder Pedri, who is appearing as a target for the English club. They have already roped in two current market sensations, Leny Yoro from Losc Lille in defence and the Atlanta standout, Joshua Zirkzee in attacking ranks.

With the new management overseen by co-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe at the helm, they are actively working on their transfer policies to bolster their squad ahead of the 2024-25 campaign. Having concluded their pre-season preparation last week in the Stateside, the Red Devils will face the English Champions, Manchester City for the FA Community Shield 2024 silverware, on Saturday.

Barcelona are Ready to Auction Pedri to Accommodate Dani Olmo’s Arrival

In order to meet the demands for Dani Olmo’s asking price of 60 million euros, the La Liga club are willing to sell the 2021 Golden Boy awardee to Manchester United, as the English club have submitted their initial bid for the 21-year-old Pedri. RB Leipzig’s Olmo is being linked with a move to Camp Nou, with Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo reporting, that Barca sporting director, Deco will be meeting the Bundesliga club officials and Olmo’s representatives to reach an agreement to finalise the deal on Tuesday.

Last month in July, Spanish International suffered a severe knee injury on national team duty for Spain during their Qauter-final match against Germany in the European Championship 2024. It was a blow that ruled out the midfielder from the rest of the tournament. Recently, Pedri returned to club training, under Hansi Flick, after spending a month of duration in the treatment room to honour the club commitments. However, his future with the Catalan has fallen under scrutiny following the latest speculations.
