Manchester United Eye Permanent Amrabat Deal Amid Busy Transfer Window

Manchester United is reportedly interested in securing Sofyan Amrabat on a permanent basis, but on one condition.

The Moroccan midfielder made 30 appearances during his loan spell at Old Trafford last season, starting only nine Premier League matches. Despite struggling for much of the season, he showed improvement towards the end, which has sparked chances for his potential future at the club.

According to Fabrizio Romano, United had the option to buy him for £16.8 million in the original deal with Fiorentina, but decided not to exercise it. However, Erik ten Hag admires Amrabat and United are open to negotiating new terms with the Serie A club in hopes of finalising a permanent transfer.

Speaking about the same, Amrabat told Dutch daily Ziggo Sport, “Do I already know what I’m going to do next year? No. We are going to talk. Staying is certainly an option. Look, I think it has been a very difficult season. For Manchester United, it needs to be much better, and also for me personally. We are going to talk,” further adding, “Manchester United are the biggest club in the world, so who wouldn’t want to play football here? But all parties have to be happy with each other, so we will sit down now and see what happens.”
