Harry Kane

Bayern’s bad performance has led Manuel Neuer to face a terrible pivotal three-word question while Harry Kane was slammed

The German Press has grilled the English striker Harry Kane after his poor performance in the fixture against Aston Villa. The media also threw three-word pivotal questions to Neuer as well after the Vincent Kompany-led Bayern Munchen lost to Aston Villa.

Bayern performed exceptionally well in their last European fixture. Coming from there to this result against Aston Villa was simply not expected. The ex-Tottenham striker had just one shot on the game as they went on to Villa Park.

After the 9-2 win on the opening matchday of the newly modified UEFA Champions League, Vincent Company and Co. traveled to England to get their second win. Harry Kane has played a total of 90 minutes for the Kompany’s side.

However, it was Jhon Duran who made all the difference with his long-range effort. The ex-Spurs striker had only shot throughout the game as the Bavarians could not bounce back and had to endure an unanticipated defeat at the Villa Park.

A chance missed by Harry Kane

The English captain was reasonably frustrated as he missed a golden opportunity. Earlier in the game, Harry Kane was visibly looking upset as Gnabry failed to square the ball to him which might have led to an easy tap in goal.

It was indeed a performance to forget for Harry Kane and the German press didn’t hold back to criticize the ex-Tottenham star.

What the publication said about Harry Kane

Addressing the performance of the Englishman, the BILD said:

“Had ankle problems after the Leverkusen clash, but was fit in time. The England star was hardly seen and missed a great header chance to equalise shortly before the end.”

With one being the highest and six being the worst, Harry Kane was given a rating of five. Even though he have netted four against Zagreb, the BILD described Harry as ‘invisible’ after he failed to add to his 10 goals in 7 matches tally.

Seeing Duran’s goal, BILD also directed a three-word question to one of the greatest goalkeepers of Germany. They said:

“Where was he? His risky style of play was punished when the goal was scored. The keeper was standing too far in front of his goal.”

In terms of goal tally, the Englishmen might be a little behind in his Premier League days. And we have all seen Neuer’s way of goalkeeping through all these years.. With the surprising defeat away from home, are these comments too harsh, or they are rightfully made? What do you think?
