Vinicius Junior picks famous Cristiano Ronaldo bicycle goal as the best UCL strike ever

Vinicius Junior has named a Cristiano Ronaldo goal as his favorite Champions League goal ever. The Brazilian winger has picked Ronaldo’s 2018 bicycle kick against Juventus as the best goal ever scored in this competition.

Over the years, the UCL has seen some memorable goals. Zinedine Zidane’s volley against Bayer Leverkusen, Ronaldo’s thunderbolt against Porto, Lionel Messi’s solo goal against Real Madrid, and more are some of the best goals ever scored. Vinicius, however, has picked Ronaldo’s famous bicycle kick goal.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace when Real Madrid beat Juventus 3-0 in the UCL quarter-final first leg in 2017-18. After opening the scoring by brilliantly converting an Isco pass, Ronaldo scored his second with a bicycle kick. Even the Juventus fans gave Ronaldo a standing ovation.

Vinicius, meanwhile, is now set to play the Champions League final with Real Madrid. Carlo Ancelotti’s team play Borussia Dortmund in the final at Wembley on June 1. Vinicius has already won the CL once, in 2021-22. With a win against Dortmund, Los Blancos can bag their record-extnding 15th UCL title.

Vinicius Junior on Cristiano Ronaldo goal celebration

Vinicius Junior can often be seen imitating Cristiano Ronaldo goal celebrations. The Brazilian has previously named the Portuguese as his idol. He has now revealed that the ‘siuuu’ is his favorite celebration. Vinicius said (via GOAL):

“Without a doubt Cristiano Ronaldo’s ‘Siuuuu. I’d say it is the most iconic celebration in football. But I also like the dance moves from NFL players and celebrations with the fans.”

Vinicius might hit the siuu again if he scores in the Champions League final. Dortmund, however, didn’t let PSG score over two legs in the UCL semi-finals. Whether they can put on a similar defensive display against the mighty Real Madrid remains to be seen.
