Atletico Madrid 1-3 LOSC Lille player ratings as Jonathan David’s brace stuns host Atletico in the Champions League

LOSC Lille staged a tremendous second-half comeback to defeat Atletico Madrid 1-3 in the UFFA Champions League fixture at the Spanish capital. Lille coach Bruno Genesio came up with the decision to rest key players, keeping an eye on the game against RC Lens at the weekend, and the decision backfired. The French side found themselves trailing behind after former Man City forward Julian Alvarez scored a goal around the eighth minute gifted by Osumane Toure as the teenage woefully under-hit his back pass to the goalkeeper, and the Argentine capitalised on the situation.

Atletico have only to blame themselves for not going into the break with a bigger advantage as Alexander Sorloth missed three good scoring opportunities in the first half. From the second half, Lille slowly started to grow in the game, and in the 61st minute, they levelled the scoring through substitute Edon Zhegrova. Later, another substitute, Jonathan David, netted a brace to ensure the French side’s victory.

Let’s have a look at the Atletico Madrid vs LOSC Lille player ratings.
