PUBG Mobile Overview

PUBG Mobile Gameplay Mechanics

PUBG Mobile has simple-to-understand game mechanics. 100 people, along with your character, are dropped in the chosen map. Once you land on the map, you'll be without any weapons, and your goal is simple: to be the last one surviving and standing in the game. Although you won't have any kind of weapons, there will be plenty of opportunities to gather weapons, vehicles, and a variety of survival equipment through looting and robberies. As you progress in the game, the map will start shrinking to make the gameplay more interesting and raise the survival stakes by forcing the opponents into proximity. There are different game modes available in PUBG; these are

  • Classic Mode: The classic mode has two options of play: ranked and unranked. This mode is the main mode of the game, where 100 people are dropped from the parachutes. You can play this solo or duo or have a team of 4 people to play with.
  • Arcade Mode: This mode has faster matches than the classic mode, with only sniper rifles and war mode enabled.
  • EvoGround Mode: This is a unique combination of different modes that can differ with the events. For example, team deathmatch mode provides a multiplayer fight experience with a smaller map, payload mode features large weapons like rocket launchers, infection mode lets you battle it out with zombies, and many more.
  • Arena Mode: This is fast-paced, close-quarters gameplay where you mostly focus on your gunplay.
  • Special Mode: This is a limited-time event that comes seasonally, and you get to play for a short while. These are mostly promotional and carry different kinds of exciting rewards and collaborations with other big-time companies.
  • Training Mode: This mode allows you to practice your shooting and make your game better.

PUBG Mobile Maps

PUBG Mobile boasts four major maps with three other minor mobile-exclusive maps and one special events map. These big four maps are

Erangel

This is the most popular classic 8 by 8 km map with a military-themed base. The map surroundings are more European-based in their scenery, containing a mix of forests, cities, and rivers. The main hotspots of the map are Pochinki, School, Sosnovka Military Base, and Georgopol.

Miramar

This is an opposite scenery from Erangel, made with the desert wastelands with open terrains. This is much suited for sniper sights with heavy vehicles used to travel through the map. Famous hotspots of this map are Pecado, Hacienda, and Los Leones.

Sanhook

This is a 4 by 4 km map with the intention of bringing fast-paced gameplay. The region is surrounded by dense forests and rivers, giving the perfect camouflage for close-range shooters. The best hotspots are Bootcamp, Paradise Resort, and Ruins.

Vikendi

This is a snow-covered map with a 6 by 6 km range. This map contains open spaces, cities, and hideouts, making it nicely available for both long-range and close-range shootings. The best hotspots are Castle, Cosmodrome, Dino Park, and Villa.

Other Maps

  • Livik: This is a mixture of all of the above maps' themes mentioned above in a small 2 by 2 km range. The main hotspots are Midstein, Blomster, and Power Plant.
  • Karakin: This is a 2 by 2 km map set on a northern African desert island with intense fights and breaches and tactical gameplay.
  • Nusa: This is a super small 1 by 1 km tropical map available for very aggressive and fast-paced gameplay.

PUBG Mobile Tips and Tricks

Here are some of the tips you can use as a beginner in PUBG:

  • If you are new to the game, the first thing to do is get familiar with the guns and ammo present in the game. After you've spent some time in unranked mode, study the armory and guns available to know which one to use in a certain situation.
  • Always join the clans, as they are the best way to make new friends and provide a lot of insight into the game.
  • Don't focus on the long distance covered; focus on getting to the weapons as fast as you land, preferably a gun.
  • Always keep an eye on the safe zones as they keep shrinking throughout the game. Keep in mind that the radiation zone travels a lot faster than you can.
  • Aimless shooting might not be the best idea to survive, and it will attract the attention of other players. The best survival tactic is to hide as much as you can and aim only when necessary.
