Clash of Clans Ranked Mode Update 2026

Summary

  • A plethora of Ranked Mode changes is coming to Clash of Clans this month
  • The changes promise to make grinding up the Legend League ladder more rewarding

Supercell has finally made some big Ranked mode changes in Clash of Clans, arriving this month. After multiple feedback with the stagnant gameplay in the new Legends League and the poor reward system, the developers are introducing some much-needed Clash of Clans Legends League Changes.

According to Supercell, the new changes aim to make Legends League gameplay more exciting and enable a smoother ranked progression for players across all Town Halls. Let's break down the Clash of Clans Ranked Mode Update April 2026 in detail:

Clash of Clans Legends League Changes: Introducing new League Tiers

With the new Clash of Clans Update, Supercell is expanding the existing Legends League. The Legends League will now be split into three tiers, namely:

  • Legend I
  • Legend II
  • Legend III

Irrespective of the split, however, each of the three tiers will have the same Star and League Bonus, but will have different Battle Modifiers. As expected, each tier will have its own difficulty and structure, with the difficulty increasing as you move up the tiers.

There will be separate Battle Modifiers as well, which will provide you with a balanced experience, enabling you to enjoy the Ranked mode rather than just grinding it out aimlessly. Let's see individually how each league will work in the table below:

Migration Week Will Decide Your Place in the New Legends Leagues

There will be a specific Migration Week as well, starting from 20th April, which will determine from which Legend League you start once the update is rolled out until the update's release. The division will be as follows:

  • Top 12,500 CoC players will be placed in Legend I
  • The next 50,000 players will rank in Legend II
  • Remaining Legends League players will move to Legend III
  • Demoted players will fall back into Electro 33

Do note that this will be a one-time placement window, and your performance during the Migration Week will mark your starting point in the new Legends League. A Higher ranking will rank you among the game's all-time greats with less hassle of climbing tiers.

Clash of Clans Ranked Mode Update: New Changes Coming this Month

Additionally, Supercell is bringing some much-needed changes to the Ranked Mode for a better gameplay experience. The number of Ranked Battles is being reduced from Leagues Titan 25 through to Electro 33. Additionally, there are other changes as well in the League Decay as well:

  • Players will now be demoted for 4 weeks of inactivity instead of 1 week
  • Inactive players can remain in their existing leagues for up to 4 weeks without being demoted.
  • Once demoted for inactivity, the player will remain in the next league for the next 4 weeks of inactivity, with the process continuing until they reach their Town Hall floor.
  • After 4 weeks of inactivity on the Town Hall floor, players can become unranked, but worry not: there will be a new Demotion Warning timer that notifies players of any possible demotions, with a countdown timer indicating the exact time remaining.

Supercell aims to provide a well-structured and approachable rank play with these changes. With the April 2026 Clash of Clans Ranked Mode Update, players can now play Ranked mode matches at their own pace, test out new strategies in ranked battles in a much fairer progression system.

The Clash of Clans Legends League Changes are coming later this month as part of a big Clash of Clans Update, bringing changes to the game's progression and rewards. Stay tuned to our Sportsdunia Gaming page as we will be revealing more details once the update goes live!
