Al Hilal crush Al Ittihad in the Saudi Super Cup final:

After defeating Al Nassr in the semi final of the Saudi Super Cup, Al Hilal entered the final of the cup composed and ready to lunge into battle. The club announced their intentions soon after the game began as ex-Barcelona player Malcom scored for the Saudi Pro League table toppers in the 5th minute of the game itself. Al Hilal followed the goal up with complete domination and refused to part with the ball.

However, an excellent phase of play for Karim Benzema’s club saw Al Ittihad player Abderrazak Hamdallah equalize for the side in minute 21. The goal didn’t deter Al Hilal as they kept pushing Al Ittihad into their own half. Al Hilal’s dominance soon bore fruit as a wonderful goal by Salem Aldawsari helped the club take a 1-2 lead just before halftime. Much more of the same was on display in the second half as Al Hilal completely zapped Al Ittihad of their energy and will to compete. Late goals from Malcom and Nasser Aldawsari in the 89th and 90+6 minute were the final nails in Al Ittihad’s coffin as they fell to a humiliating 1-4 loss in the final.
