Arsenal vs Leicester City Preview

  • Tournament: Premier League
  • Date: Saturday, Sep 28
  • Kick-off Time: 03:00 pm GMT
  • Venue: Emirates Stadium, England

Newly promoted Leicester City will travel to Arsenal in their sixth game of the 2024/25 Premier League season at Emirates Stadium. The Foxes will be eyeing for their first win of the season but would struggle even to secure a point.

Hosts Arsenal are one of the top squads in the Premier League and remain in a strong position to challenge for the league title once again this year. Mikel Arteta’s men are desperate to get their hands on the Premier League crown despite coming closer in the past two seasons. The Gunners have won their last five meetings against Leicester and are widely expected to secure the three points.

Meanwhile, Leicester City sustained a 1-1 draw to Everton in their last league game and will now be bracing themselves for a monumental challenge in the coming weeks. Their transfer plans this summer were severely affected by their financial constraints and are now seen as a standout relegation contender. There’s plenty of work to do if they want to cement their status in the Premier League next season.

Arsenal vs Leicester City Prediction

The Gunners will look to return to winning ways as they had to settle for a 2-2 stalemate against Manchester City last weekend. They are so far unbeaten this season and have scored more than two goals in one of their last six games. They are coming off a sensational 5-1 win over Bolton Wanderers in the third round of the Carabao Cup and will be aiming to return to winning ways in the English top-flight.

As for Leicester City, they have also managed just three points from a possible 15 following their return to the English top flight. Steve Cooper’s side managed a praiseworthy draw against Everton in their last Premier League game and will be desperate to pick up their first win of the new campaign.
