As per a recent report by ‘TEAMtalk‘, Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur are pushing to offload their left-back Sergio Reguilon before the transfer window shuts. The player reportedly isn’t in the plans of manager Ange Postecoglou. Big Ange has seemingly chosen Destiny Odogie as his go-through man for the left-back position.
Reguilon spent the first half of the last season on loan at Spurs league rivals Man United, while for the second half of the season, he was loaned to Brentford. The club’s hierarchy’s moves for the player clearly suggested that maybe Postecoglou just doesn’t fancy him under his style of heavy-metal football.
‘TEAMtalk’ has laid out that La Liga giants FC Barcelona are interested in Reguilon and keeping close tabs on him in the dying stages of the ongoing transfer window. However, the financial constraints that Barca has of its own, might prevent the club from getting any significant piece of business over the line in the next few days or so.
With Barca’s touted approach for the left-back on the brink of falling, a new potential suitor for Sergio Reguilon has emerged in the form of Turkish club Besiktas. Despite the links with Besiktas being fairly new for Tottenham’s Reguilon, ‘TEAMtalk’, coins that the reports in the Turkish media interpret that Besiktas do hold a keen interest in the Spurs’ left-back.
It remains to be seen how things pan out for Sergio Reguilon in the remainder of the transfer window.
