Barcelona make first move for Coman
The future of Kingsley Coman at Bayern Munich seems uncertain, with the club reportedly ready to part ways with the French winger. Coman, who is one of the most successful players in world football in terms of trophies, has become surplus to requirements under Bayern’s new manager Vincent Kompany.
According to reports, Barcelona have already made contact with Coman’s representatives as they explore a potential move.
Barcelona’s manager Hansi Flick is keen on adding a wide player to his squad and holds Coman in high regard, having worked with him during his time at Bayern. But, despite the initial contact, Coman is not considered a priority for the Spanish giants.
Barcelona recently secured the signing of Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig for £51 million, but they haven’t given up on their pursuit of another winger Nico Williams.
Williams, who had an impressive Euro 2024 with Spain is likely to remain at Athletic Bilbao. Still, Barcelona continues to work on freeing up wage space to make a late move possible.

PSG join the race for Coman
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have also shown interest in signing Coman, as they seek to replace Kylian Mbappe. Coman, who left PSG in 2014 to join Juventus before moving to Bayern Munich, could be an ideal fit for the French champions.
With Bayern open to loaning Coman, the possibility of a deal remains on the table. Even if Barcelona or PSG doesn’t secure Coman, both clubs have pressing needs to address.
Barcelona in particular must raise at least £40 million in the next week to register several first-team players including Olmo for La Liga.
As the transfer window heats up, Kingsley Coman’s future hangs in the balance with both Barcelona and PSG closely monitoring the situation.
