Brighton have emerged as the frontrunner in the intense battle to sign Leicester City’s midfield maestro, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. The 25-year-old has been a linchpin for the Foxes, sparking interest from top-flight rivals.
Despite Arsenal‘s admiration for Dewsbury-Hall and Brentford’s serious interest, it’s Brighton who have stolen a march on the competition, willing to match Leicester’s hefty £30 million valuation.
Enzo Maresca, Brighton’s manager, is eyeing the midfielder as a crucial addition to boost the Seagulls’ chances in European competitions.
Arsenal, traditionally a powerhouse in the transfer market, finds themselves trailing in the pursuit. The Gunners, along with Brentford, were hopeful contenders for Dewsbury-Hall’s signature, but the allure of European football could tip the scales in Brighton’s favour ahead of The Bees if Leicester accepts an offer deemed acceptable.
Fulham have also been keeping tabs on Dewsbury-Hall’s situation, adding another layer of competition for his signature. Roberto De Zerbi’s Brighton, however, has surged ahead, positioning themselves as the top candidate to secure the talented midfielder.
As for Arsenal, it seems their spending ambitions may be deferred until the summer, with concerns over Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations. Mikel Arteta’s priority remains securing a new striker, with Victor Osimhen and Ivan Toney on his radar.

The midfield is another area requiring reinforcement, especially with uncertainties surrounding the futures of Thomas Partey, Jorginho, and Mohamed Elneny.
The Ghana international, Partey, sidelined since mid-October, has returned to full first-team training. His comeback is well-timed as Arsenal faces a crucial phase that could define their Premier League title aspirations, starting with a challenging fixture against Nottingham Forest in midweek.
