The all-time leading goalscorer in the competition’s history will be honoured with a prestigious award from UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin.

Ronaldo who netted an astonishing 140 goals in 183 Champions League appearances will receive this accolade as a tribute to his incredible impact on the tournament.

His goalscoring feats which span across Sporting Clube de Portugal, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus, have set a benchmark that future generations will find tough to surpass.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the brightest stars in the UEFA Champions League constellation,” Ceferin stated.

“His extraordinary goal-scoring achievements in the competition seem destined to stand the test of time, posing a remarkable challenge for future generations to surpass. His sustained excellence at the highest level is a testament to his relentless pursuit of both team and individual honours.”

Ronaldo’s record includes topping the Champions League scoring charts in seven different seasons, more than any other player.
