Desire Doue chooses Paris Saint Germain over Bayern Munich

As per famous journalist Fabrizio Romano, 19-year-old French winger Desire Doue is set to sign for Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain. German giants Bayern Munich and the French champions PSG were highly interested in the talented and sensational teenager.

Doue, who impressed everyone with his magnificent skills while playing for Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais, has been spectacular in the last two seasons. In 31 domestic league appearances last season, he scored five goals. A season prior, he played 26 Ligue 1 games, scoring three goals.

The 1.81 m youngster is known for his fast speed and dribbling skills. His nature of giving assists is also commendable. In the recently concluded football games in the Olympic 2024, Desire featured in five games, scoring once and assisting once to help France earn a Silver medal.

The winger mainly operates from the left, but can also switch sides if needed. He is equally efficient as a midfielder, but can also cater from the forward line. Signing him would be a great addition for the Luis Enrique coached side, who are having a scarcity of left-wingers, as only Bradley Barcola naturally fits into that position.

It has been learned that Desire Doue wanted a move to the side in the French capital despite high interest from Bayern Munich. It was speculated that Bayern would secure a deal with Doue after they traded Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui to Manchester United for big-money deals. Desire’s decision comes as a blow for the Bavarians, who recently departed Bryan Zaragoza on a loan deal to CA Osasuna.
