Dortmund ready to sell Karim Adeyemi to Premier League clubs

According to Spanish media outlet Fichajes, Borussia Dortmund would be ready to listen to offers for winger Karim Adeyemi amidst interest from Premier League giants. Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle United are the three teams who have been quoted as having interest in the German in the report.

Adeyemi, now 22 years old, hasn’t quite developed the way he was expected to. The raw material is quite evidently there but he hasn’t been able to iron out the flaws and inadequacies in his game yet, as would have been otherwise expected by now. In 70 odd matches for Dortmund so far, he has only scored 16 times.

But one virtue he has on his hands is the ability to play anywhere across the frontline. For example, Manchester United already have Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho who prefer playing on the left, while their right wing options pale in comparison. Therefore, Erik Ten Hag potentially wants him in that position.

Liverpool on the other hand could do with the versatility. They need a long term replacement for Mo Salah on the right but for the time being it is the other two positions in attack that the German would provide cover in.

Newcastle could perhaps be the best move. He could start on the right and be a part of a front three alongside Anthony Gordon and Alexander. All three are of similar age, extremely talented and direct. At Newcastle, Adeyemi would also face lesser pressure than he would at United or Liverpool, which could be a big help.
