Surprising picks by Endrick

Endrick who was officially introduced to Real Madrid fans at the Bernabeu last month, has quickly made headlines with his unique selection of favourite players. While many might have expected him to name Brazilian legends like Pele, Ronaldo, or Neymar, Endrick took a different route.

His top five includes Real Madrid stars Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham, alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, Bobby Charlton, and Ferenc Puskas. These choices reflect the youngster’s appreciation for both his current teammates and iconic figures from different football eras.

A dream come true for Endrick

Endrick’s journey to Real Madrid began when the club agreed to sign him from Palmeiras in 2022 for a deal worth up to €60 million. But, due to his age, Endrick stayed in Brazil to continue his development until he could officially join Madrid for the 2024/25 season.

The young forward has always dreamed of playing for Real Madrid inspired by his idol Cristiano Ronaldo.

“My dream since I was little has always been to play for Real Madrid,” Endrick shared in a previous interview. “Cristiano Ronaldo is one of my biggest idols. So it is a great pride to know that I will wear the same shirt he wore.”

As Endrick settles into his new life in Spain, all eyes will be on him as he aims to make his mark in Carlo Ancelotti’s star-studded team.

His first test could come on Wednesday when Madrid faces Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup. Post which, the club will begin their La Liga title defence with a match against Mallorca on August 18 in La Liga.

Endrick’s choices and his passion for the game reflect a deep respect for the sport’s history and his current role in one of the world’s most famous clubs.
