New Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is seen in action already as the German was pictured with Frenkie de Jong in the club’s medical room.
The former Bayern Munich and Germany head coach was officially announced as Xavi’s successor earlier today, and seems like Flick is wasting no time in familiarising himself with the club and it’s players.
In an interesting photo circulating online, the 59-year-old was seen having a word with De Jong, who is currently recovering from an ankle injury.
The photo was shared by Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg, who also mentioned that Flick will begin transfer talk with the La Liga club’s sporting director Deco from Wednesday.
Flick’s image is garnering positive reactions from the fans, as they are hailing the commitment the new coach is already showing.
Barcelona looking towards rebuilding under Flick
Following a trophyless campaign under Xavi, Barcelona are looking towards rebuilding their squad under new manager Hansi Flick. The German established his reputation as an astute tactician at Bayern Munich, whom he led to their second treble in 2020 before eventually completing the sextuple. The Blaugrana will hope he can repeat the feat with them too.
