Chelsea forward Armando Broja’s move to Ipswich Town is in danger of collapsing despite the forward agreeing to spend a season-long loan with the new Premier League entrant.

Both Chelsea and Ipswich have agreed on a loan move for the Albanian international, but recent developments suggest the deal might not go through. The original deal was that the striker would make a permanent move to Ipswich for £30m, if they managed to avoid relegation this season.

Armando Broja is not a part of Enzo Maresca’s plans and still has four years left on his deal with the West London giants.

New Premier League entrant Ipswich Town has agreed to sign Chelsea striker Armando Broja on a season-long loan with an obligation to sign the player on a permanent deal for £30 million if they avoid relegation from the Premier League this season.

The Albanian international spent the second half of last season on loan at Fulham and was expected to establish himself in their first team. He still has four years left on his contract but Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca doesn’t include him in his plans going forward.

His temporary move to Armando Broja will be completed by this weekend.

Ipswich Town has agreed on a loan move for Chelsea striker Armando Broja with a mandatory buy clause included in the deal. Ipswich will have to pay in the region of £30 million next summer if they manage to avoid relegation in the Premier League.

The Albanian international who was not included in Chelsea’s opening game of the campaign against Man City is now on the verge of leaving Stamford Bridge on a season-long loan deal.

Broja has struggled for game time at Chelsea and moved way down the pecking order following the arrival of Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson last summer.

Armando Broja not interested in Ipswich Town move

New Premier League entrant Ipswich Town has been credited with an interest in bringing Chelsea striker Armando Broja to Portman Road this summer on a season-long loan.

The 22-year-old striker is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer as he struggled for gametime over the past two seasons. Chelsea are also desperate to sell the Albanian international, but the forward is not interested in a move to Ipswich Town.

He is contracted with Chelsea until the summer of 2028 and is not short of suitors in this summer transfer window.

As per renowned football Journalist ‘Dharmesh Sheth‘ and backed by ‘Sky Sports’, Premier League club Ipswich Town has agreed upon a deal with Manchester City to sign England international midfielder Kalvin Phillips on a season-long loan.

A more recent report by ‘Sky Sports’, has further pointed out that Kalvin Phillips has completed his Ipswich medical ahead of making a switch to the Tractor Boys.

‘Dharmesh Sheth’, in one of his official tweets also pointed out that, Kieran McKenna led Ipswich managed to ‘beat’ a number of different Premier League clubs in the race to sign Phillips.

Manchester City is termed to be still responsible for a certain portion of the midfielder’s wages.

Ipswich Town eye sensational Kalvin Phillips transfer

Kalvin Phillips seems to be in demand as Ipswich Town are reportedly interested in signing the England midfielder from Manchester City.

However, Fulham and Everton are also monitoring the situation.

Phillips featured regularly during City’s pre-season, even at centre-back but with many Euro 2024 players returning, his opportunities may be limited. Despite his solid pre-season performances, a permanent move away seems challenging for now.

Phillips has struggled since his £45 million transfer from Leeds in 2022, with fitness and form issues and an unsuccessful loan spell at West Ham.

Ipswich Targets Jack Clarke with Tottenham Set to Benefit

Newly promoted Ipswich Town is set to make a bid for Sunderland winger Jack Clarke in a bid to strengthen their squad for the upcoming Premier League season, English daily iNews confirmed.

However, it is reported that London side Tottenham Hotspur will benefit significantly from the deal.

When Clarke was transferred from Tottenham to Sunderland, the London club secured a 40% sell-on clause. As a result, Tottenham will receive a substantial share of any transfer fee Ipswich agrees to pay.

The 23-year-old is valued in the region of £18m.

Since transferring from Tottenham Hotspur to Sunderland in 2022 for an undisclosed amount, Clarke has evolved into a key player for the team.

If the transfer for Clarke is finalized, Ipswich’s summer spending will reach approximately £70 million, surpassing the other promoted clubs, Leicester City and Southampton.

Ipswich City has shown interest in Panathinaikos striker Fotis Ioannidis who is attracting interest from all across Europe. The 24-year-old striker is on the wishlist of several European clubs such as Celtic, Lazio, and West Ham.

Ioannidis found the back of the net 23 times in 44 appearances across all competitions this season. He signed a new deal with Panathinaikos last summer, keeping at the club until 2027.

Oxford United are keen to bring in Ipswich Town midfielder Idris El Mizouni after earning promotion to the Championship last season. The 23-year-old midfielder spent the last season on loan at Leyton Orient for the second time after helping them in their promotion in the 2022/23 season.

El Mizouni came up through the ranks at Portman Road but made only a handful of appearances for the Tractor Boys since his making his debut in 2019, with five separate loan deals in the last few seasons. His contract with Ipswich expires in the summer and they are willing to sanction his departure this summer.

The Tunisian international has also been monitored by Derby County and Barnsley but Oxford are leading the chase for the outcasted Ipswich Town midfielder.

Derby County are in the market for an experienced midfielder and the forgotten Ipswich star could be a valuable addition to the squad. El Mizouni has tasted some Championship action but spent of his professional career away on loans.
