Jose Mourinho and Chelsea are keeping their cards close to their chest amid reports that the manager will replace Mauricio Pochettino. The Argentine manager is under pressure at Stamford Bridge after performances have dipped.
As per a report in the Daily Mail, contacts close to Mourinho have refused to talk about a possible comeback. They claim that the offer is yet to arrive from the Premier League side, and they are unaware of any interest.
Sources at the Chelsea side are also quiet about the possibility of Pochettino getting sacked. They insist that the Argentine has the backing and will see out the season at the club.

Jose Mourinho to Chelsea – will the manager make another return?
Jose Mourinho has managed Chelsea twice and has been linked with a third stint at Stamford Bridge. He won the Premier League both times and that is something the fans have been waiting to see at the club since Antonio Conte did it in 2017.
Mourinho spoke about his career’s next step earlier this season and stated that Saudi Arabia was on his radar. The Portuguese manager admitted that he would be visiting the Middle East and was convinced that he would be working there soon.
He said:
“I will go to Saudi Arabia in some free time, but I am convinced that I will work there. I don’t know when, but I am pretty sure of it. No one knows the future, but I will definitely do this (working in Saudi Arabia).”
He added:
“Doors are always open for me in Saudi Arabia. I want to feel the development there. Cristiano was the first to go there and give a different perspective immediately. The players thought at first that it was a one-man show but they realised in the summer that everything was really changing. Many players, not just at the last period of their careers, but also some players at the best years of their careers, are coming because the competition is real, not just at domestic League, but also the AFC Champions League is very interesting.”
Jose Mourinho won three Premier League titles at Chelsea, while also winning the FA Cup once, and the League Cup thrice.
