Kylian Mbappe’s ‘unusual’ goal sparks debate among the fans on social media

Paris Saint-Germain are closer to the Ligue 1 title this year after beating Lorient 4-1. But it’s not the title that the fans were talking about. It was Kylian Mbappe‘s unusual goal that created a buzz on social media.

PSG were leading 1-0 when Mbappe passed the ball to Nuno Mendes in the far left-side of the pitch. After a slight touch, the Portuguese passed the ball back to Mbappe which was tapped in by the latter using his left heel to the far left-side of Lorient’s goalkeeper, Yvon Mvogo.

Many PSG fans even doubted that Mbappe really went for the backheel move. Some accused that it was a lucky-moment goal as never in his career, Mbappe scored such a slick goal like that one.  

“Brilliant Mbappe backheel goal” said user @Tezzathekchen “He starts the move with a good pass to the wings and then displays his GOAT tier movement, anticipation and finishing”

One user, @stuafc71 even brought Ben White’s goal against Chelsea into the discussion.by saying: “What a cheeky back flick goal from mbappe. If he meant that Benny blanco defo meant his goal v Chelsea.”

Mbappe went on to give an assist to Ousmane Dembele’s second goal. The former AS Monaco forward nutmegged Lorent’s Nathaniel Adjei before delivering the ball to Dembele who was standing in front of an empty net.
