Leicester City agree £8m deal for Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew

Leicester City have reportedly agreed on an £8 million plus add-ons deal with Crystal Palace to sign Jordan Ayew, per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. The veteran forward is set to join Steve Cooper’s side to help bolster the Foxes attack. He was entering the final year of his contract at Selhurst Park but is now headed to the King Power.

The Foxes have been trying to comply with Premier League‘s Profit and Sustainability Rules as they are set to be hit with a two-point deduction. Ayew, 32, is a cost-effective signing who will provide competition for Jamie Vardy and Tom Cannon.

Ayew becomes Leicester’s sixth signing this summer, joining the likes of Oliver Skipp and Bobby De Cordova-Reid in Cooper’s side. He struck four goals and eight assists in 37 games last season.

Leicester City eye a potential transfer for Celtic midfielder

According to a recent report from ‘Sports Mole‘, citing football editor ‘Chris Wheatley’, Scottish Premiership club Celtic FC’s midfielder Reo Hatate is on the transfer radar of the Premier League club Leicester City.

The report further lays down that, Hatate is also ‘keen’ upon a move to the Premier League and wants to test himself in one of the most competitive leagues around the world.

The Japan international has also received transfer interest from some of the top clubs in Spain and Italy, the names of which still remain unspecified.

Hatate was an integral part of Celtic lifting the Scottish Premiership title last campaign. In his 12 starts for the club, the previous season, the 26-year-old had seven goal contributions to his name (three goals and four assists).

A player like him could really bolster Steve Cooper’s options at Leicester.

Leicester City’s pursuit of Wilfred Zaha in jeopardy: Report

A recent report by ‘Leicester Mercury‘ lays out that Premier League club Leicester City’s interest in Turkish giants Galatasaray’s winger Wilfred Zaha is in a state of limbo at the moment.

The Foxes were reportedly eyeing a move for the former Premier League star on a temporary basis, citing a loan transfer.

However, ‘The Athletic’ has stated that a Premier League return for Zaha remains unlikely for now as official discussions between Leicester City’s hierarchy and Wilfred Zaha have ‘failed’ to garner any conclusion.

With no prospect of a potential agreement with the Foxes at this stage, Zaha has returned to team training at Galatasaray. Apparently, the former Crystal Palace winger would incur certain tax liabilities if he chose to return to England.

Tottenham Hotspur accept Leicester City’s 20 million bid for Oliver Skipp

The newly promoted Leicester City offered 20 million pounds as transfer fee plus 5 million as add-ons for midfielder Oliver Skipp.

As per reports Tottenham Hotspur have accepted the offer for Skipp, who came through the academy at Spurs. The 23-year-old is expected to undergo medical on Monday, before the two clubs meet in their opening premier league match.

The 24-year-old England international started only one league game for the Gunners last season and is not likely to feature in Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal starting XI going into the new campaign. The Foxes have agreed to sign Brighton attacker Facundo Buonanotte on a season-long loan deal, but with no option of a buy next summer. The Argentine struggled to impress for the Seagulls last season and considered a new challenge this summer.

Brighton are eager to send the youngster, who was once compared to Lionel Messi, on loan to gain more experience and newly-promoted Leicester City are now frontrunners to sign the attacker.

The Seagulls will definitely keep a close eye on the 19-year-old’s progression and do not want a permanent exit for the future Argentine star.

The 18-year-old has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs including Brentford, Leicester City and Southampton who are keen on securing the services of the young striker.

Doak had a very positive pre-season with the Reds in the United States after a meniscus injury which caused him to miss the majority of the 2023/24 campaign. The Reds are willing to let him on loan but only to a club where he could regular first-team football.

David Datro Fofana agrees to join Leicester City on loan

Newly promoted side Leicester City have agreed to sign Chelsea striker David Datro Fofana on a season-long loan and the player will be going for his third loan spell in just one year. Fofana spent the first half of last season on loan at Union Berlin, before being recalled in January to join Burney in the winter transfer window.

The 21-year-old striker is way down the pecking order behind Christopher Nkunku, Nicolas Jackson and Armando Broja. He has attracted multiple clubs in Europe, but Fofana preferred to stay in the Premier League and has agreed to join the Foxes on a loan deal with an option to make the transfer permanent.

Liverpool set asking price for Leicester City target Fabio Carvalho

The Reds have set an asking price of around €30 million to sell Fabio Carvalho this summer with Leicester City entering the race to sign the talented Portuguese forward. Southampton are also keen on signing the young attacker, but saw their initial bid of €17.5 million get rejected by Liverpool.

The 21-year-old has been one of the standout stars for Liverpool in the pre-season tour and has managed to impress Arne Slot. Carvalho spent the first half of last season on loan at RB Leipzig before spending the second half on loan at Hull City.

The French striker is expected to leave Stamford Bridge on his third loan spell in the space of a year. The 21-year-old spent the first half of last season on loan at Union Berlin, where he bagged two goals and one assist before spending the second half on loan at Burnley where he managed only four goals in 15 games.

Datro Fofana is now expected to make a move to Leicester City who are leading the race to sign the striker on loan with an obligation to buy clause be included in the deal.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Datro Fofana’s Chelsea career would be over in the next few weeks.
