The German will depart after nine years at the helm although it’s been an underwhelming end to his tenure, with Liverpool going from competing for the quadruple, to finishing the season with just one trophy.
Nonetheless, besides his farewell, fans will have one more reason to look forward to their Sunday’s fixture, which is the unveiling of their home jersey for the next season. The picture, though, has been shared by the club on their official social media accounts.
As always, red is the dominant color, but this time, the shirt features thin, golden stripes, and has a white collar.
Liverpool aiming for a victory on Klopp swansong
Liverpool will be looking to end Jurgen Klopp’s tenure on a winning note, and given the German a memorable farewell. While another trophy would be have been sweet, but a resounding victory over the struggling Wolves would suffice right now. The Reds themselves fizzled out in recent weeks, seeing their Premier League title charge end, but a third-place finish with 80+ points and a Champions League ticket is not bad.
