Luis Suarez Makes History with Stunning Goal as Uruguay Beats Canada for Bronze

In an enthralling match at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte North Carolina, Luis Suarez scored a historic goal to help Uruguay secure a bronze medal in the Copa America 2024.

Suarez’s late equalizer made him the oldest scorer in Copa America history at 37 years five months and 21 days. His goal in second-half stoppage time levelled the score against Canada leading to a penalty shootout where Uruguay triumphed 4-3.

Before Luis Suarez scored the crucial goal Uruguay and Canada were locked in a 2-2 tie. Uruguay’s Rodrigo Bentancur scored early but Ismaël Koné equalized for Canada.
