Manchester United‘s left-back, Luke Shaw, faced yet another setback as he was forced off during Sunday’s match against Luton Town, adding to the club’s injury concerns.
Shaw, who had been a doubt for the away fixture following his halftime substitution in United’s recent victory over Aston Villa, was ultimately deemed fit to start. However, his appearance was short-lived as he had to be replaced by Victor Lindelof in stoppage time of the first half.
Shaw’s departure didn’t hinder United’s performance entirely, as they managed to maintain their lead in the second half despite his absence. Yet, concerns over the extent of injury to Luke Shaw linger, with reports indicating he was seen limping as he left the stadium after the match.
This latest setback adds to Shaw’s injury-plagued season, during which he has already spent significant time on the sidelines due to various issues.

With the Manchester derby looming after the upcoming match against Fulham, United will be hoping for positive news regarding Shaw’s condition as they navigate through a string of absences, including those of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia, Mason Mount, and Antony Martial.
United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, will undoubtedly be monitoring Shaw’s situation closely as the club aims to maintain its momentum in the league despite the persistent challenges posed by injuries to key players.
