History 

Manchester City’s history goes back to 1880 when members of St. Mark’s Church in Manchester formed this team. In 1887, the team became the Ardwick Association Football Club. Later in 1894, its name was changed to Manchester City FC. 

Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, owner of Abu Dhabi Group purchased a controlling share in the club in 2008, after which the club’s performance improved and it started winning a lot of titles. He invested heavily which brought fruitful results for the club.

It became the First club to win an English domestic treble in the 2018-19 season. In addition, it also added the 2018 FA Community Shield to its amazing record.
