Norway vs Austria Player Ratings: Haaland Secures Late 2-1 Victory

Norway took on Austria at home in the Nations League tonight in an exciting game that finished 2-1 to Norway. Felix Horn Myhre gave Norway an early lead and Marcel Sabitzer equalised later in the first half for Austria. Erling Haaland then won it for Norway late in the game.

Orjan Nyland — 6/10. Should have been better for Austria’s goal.

Defenders

Julian Ryerson — 6/10. Not the greatest outing for the Dortmund defender.

Leo Ostigard — 7/10. Very impressive from him. Very solid in defence.

Andreas Hanche-Olsen — 6/10. Substituted with a first-half injury.

David Møller Wolfe — 5/10. Very average performance from him in defence and in attack.

Midfielders

Martin Odegaard — 6/10. Had to be taken off with a bad-looking injury..

Patrick Berg — 7/10. Won the most tackles of anyone on the pitch..

Sander Berge — 7/10. Solid in defence and in possession too.

Forwards

Alexander Sorloth – 7/10. Assisted the opener. Didn’t look like scoring himself.

Erling Haaland — 8/10. The matchwinner again. Scored a late goal to seal the game.

Felix Horn Myhre — 8/10. Looked dangerous in spells and scored the early goal.

Phillipp Mwene – 6/10. A largely silent display. Couldn’t create a sufficient level of danger going forward.

Stefan Posch – 6/10. Struggled defensively at times but progressed the ball well.

Philipp Lienhart – 6/10. Completed the most passes in the game with 70.

Alexander Prass – 6/10. Won most of his duels but still not great overall.

Midfielders

Marcel Sabitzer – 8/10. Took 4 shots and scored the all-important goal.

Nicolas Seiwald – 6/10. Kept things ticking in the middle of the park.

Konrad Laimer – 4/10. Very underwhelming performance from the experienced midfielder.

Romano Schmid – 7/10. Put in a good shift and created some chances.

Patrick Wimmer – 6/10. Looked threatening in phases.

Christoph Baumgartner – 7/10. Created 3 chances and provided an assist.
