Premier League Transfer Window Predictions 2024: Big Players Who Could Move This Summer

As the 2024 summer transfer window kicks off across Europe Premier League clubs are gearing up for a frenzy of activity to strengthen their squads for the upcoming season.

With the window open from June 14 to August 30 clubs have a limited time to secure their targets and bolster their rosters ahead of the new campaign.

The aftermath of Euro 2024 and Copa America 2024 is expected to fuel a flurry of transfer rumours and negotiations promising an exciting window filled with big-money moves.

It’s a big summer beckons for Arsenal who’ll be attempting to finally usurp Manchester City at the Premier League’s summit. Golden Glove winner David Raya has joined permanently while several veterans have departed as free agents.

Joshua Kimmich

Joshua Kimmich who is a key figure at Bayern Munich has amassed extensive experience and success contributing significantly from midfield. The 29-year-old has won everything there is to win at the Allianz Arena, amassing 390 appearances for the club along the way, but renewal talks have stalled, putting a host of top clubs on red alert.

Potential Club

Manchester City, Arsenal, and Manchester United are monitoring Kimmich’s contract situation. His leadership, technical ability, and winning mentality could prove invaluable in the Premier League.

Impact of leaving Bayern Munich

Kimmich’s departure from Bayern will mark the end of an era for the club. They will be losing a versatile player who has been integral to their success over the years. It will take some time to find a replacement for a player who can play in multiple positions like Kimmich.

Marc Guehi

Marc Guehi has been a stalwart in Crystal Palace’s defense impressing with his consistency and defensive prowess. Marc Guehi has been remarkably consistent for the Eagles in recent years, forming a solid partnership with Joachim Anderson at the heart of the backline

Potential Club

Manchester United are eyeing Guehi to shore up their backline under Erik ten Hag. His addition could provide solidity and leadership building on his experience with the England national team.

Impact of leaving Crystal Palace

Losing Guehi would be a significant blow for Crystal Palace as they would miss his defensive skills and leadership on the pitch. Palace will need to find a solid defender who can partner along Anderson at the back.

Bruno Guimaraes

Bruno Guimaraes has been a standout performer for Newcastle excelling in both creative and defensive midfield roles. After posting an alarming financial loss earlier this year, Newcastle could be forced to make at least one big sale this summer – and Bruno Guimaraes is one of their most coveted assets.

Potential Club

Manchester City and Arsenal are interested in Guimaraes, who has a £100 million release clause expiring soon. His versatility and skillset could offer significant midfield reinforcement for either club.

Impact of leaving Newcastle

If Guimaraes leaves, Newcastle will lose a crucial player who has been central to their midfield dynamics. The Magpies will have to look for a replacement who can run things for them from the middle of the park.

Michael Olise

Michael Olise has emerged as a dynamic winger at Crystal Palace showcasing his talent with impressive goalscoring feats. Despite missing a considerable chunk of the campaign through injury, the Frenchman still managed to reach double figures for goals from a right-wing berth, with his return to full-fitness coinciding with the Eagles winning six of their final seven league games.

Potential Club

Chelsea’s interest in Olise remains strong, following his standout performances. His flair, creativity, and goal-scoring ability could enhance Chelsea’s attacking options significantly.

Impact of leaving Crystal Palace

Another one for Palace. If he leaves, Palace will lose a key attacking player whose creativity and goal-scoring abilities have been vital for their success. Chairman Steve Parish remains one of the toughest negotiators around, meaning Olise is not expected to depart for anything less than £60m ($76m) this summer. So Palace can get a good chunk out of him for finding a suitable replacement.

Victor Osimhen

Victor Osimhen has been a prolific striker at Napoli despite their mixed season he has maintained his reputation as a goal-scoring threat. The Partonopei finished the season in mid-table and will not be able to offer European football to Osimhen next season as a result he could make a switch.

Potential Club

PSG leads the chase for Osimhen, with interest also from Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea. His pace, finishing ability, and physical presence make him a coveted target in the Premier League.

Impact of leaving Napoli

If Osimhen leaves, Napoli will lose a prolific goal-scorer who, despite a dip in form, has shown immense potential and talent. These potential moves could shake up the Premier League and have a significant impact on the involved clubs. His £111m ($141m) release clause may act as a deterrent, though. But if any club is ready to pay that, Napoli will have enough funds to find a replacement.
