Rangers FC sign Robin Propper from FC Twente

Rangers FC confirmed the signing of Robin Propper from FC Twente as the club announced it through its official website. The Dutch centre-half will be another addition in The Gers defending force in the upcoming Scottish Premiership season.

Propper’s signing is a proper signing as he acted as a captain for the Eredivisie side last season. He appeared in 39 Twente’s games, making Rangers push a serious movie about landing him to Ibrox.

“I was glad to hear about the club wanting to sign me,” Propper said. “I always said I wanted to have a new adventure in another country and when a club like Rangers comes in for you it feels surreal.

“This club breathes football and you want to play your football here.

Rangers progressing in talks with Man Utd midfielder Hannibal Mejbri over a transfer

Rangers are reportedly in advanced talks to sign Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri this summer. The 21-year-old Tunisian international joined the Red Devils in 2021 among huge hype, but has failed to live up to expectations.

He joined Sevilla on loan in January this year, however, he struggled to get opportunities with their manager citing discipline as a major issue in the youngster.

For Sevilla, he appeared in just six league games, five of which came from the bench. Rangers are looking to offer him the opportunity to reignite his career.

Rangers defender Johnly Yfeko completes season-long loan move to Exeter City in search of game time

Twenty-one-year-old Rangers left-back Johnly Yfeko has completed a season-long loan move to Football League One side Exeter City in search of game time. This is as per reports from PLZ Soccer, who have added that the deal will be an initial year loan with an option to make it permanent next summer.

Johnly Yfeko came through the ranks at Leicester City and Tottenham’s academies, before moving to Rangers, where he made his first professional breakthrough and earned a senior contract in 2022. Since then, he has made 17 appearances for Rangers B but has appeared for the first team on just one occasion.

Still only 21, the full back has his entire career ahead of him and what’s most important is that he gets valuable minutes under his belt at his current age. Exeter City finished 13th in League One last season and will hope Yfeko’s addition can take them higher up the table in this upcoming campaign.

Rangers receive a boost in pursuit of Sevilla’s Joan Jordan

As per Que Deportes, Rangers have received a boost in their pursuit of Sevilla midfielder Joan Jordan. Jordan has reportedly been informed that he would need to leave Sevilla this summer. The Andalusian club have already made moves for Albert Sambi Lokonga and Saul Niguez.

Sevilla’s financial situation means they need to offload players and Jordan leaving on loan is a real possibility. Sevilla reportedly wants interested clubs to cover the entirety of Jordan’s 70K euros weekly wage. However, they might need to loosen their stance on that.

Rangers have been thoroughly interested in making a loan move for Jordan. They are not the only interested club, though, Deportivo Alaves and Olympiakos are also closely monitoring the midfielder’s situation.

Kilmarnock to secure Robby McCrorie from Rangers

Kilmarnock will go all out to secure the signature of Robby McCrorie from Rangers. With Will Dennis rejoining Bournemouth for the pre-season agenda, Killie have to race in time, to find a replacement.

Kilmarnock will have a Europa League qualifier at the end of the month so waiting for Dennis to return is not a good idea. Instead, Derek McInnes is finding a fast-delivery option and it is on McCrorie.

On the other hand, McCrorie finds it difficult to break into the Rangers’ first team. The Dailly-born shot-stopper has only made one appearance in the Scottish Premiership for the last three seasons.

This makes Killie’s chance to sign McCrorie open as both parties find what they need from each other. During his time with Rangers, McCrorie has won three titles such as Scottish Cup, Scottish League Cup, and one Second League title.

Rangers are looking to offload Nigerian striker Cyriel Dessers

The Scottish outfit will be looking to recoup the £4.5m transfer fee they paid Cremonese for Cyriel Dessers last summer after the striker attracted heavy interest from Greek outfit PAOK.

The Ibrox forward scored 22 goals last season but manager Philippe Clement will need better options if he were to take the team to the next level. His departure would leave the manager with Igamane and Danilo as his striker options.

Cyriel Dessers was never accepted by the fans since his arrival in 2023 and there will be no shortage of takers for the 29-year-old striker who is reported to have handed in a transfer request.
