Real Madrid will host newly-promoted Alaves in a relaxed midweek clash in La Liga on Saturday, May 11. The Galacticos have already secured their 36th La Liga earlier this month and will now fully focus on their upcoming Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund.

Real Madrid have been crowned the 2023/24 La Liga champions and are coming off a 4-0 home win against Granada in its last game. The Galacticos would want to continue with their long unbeaten streak and aim for their ninth straight victory in La Liga at home. They have been a consistent performer in La Liga and other European competitions over the last two decades.

The Basque outfit finds themselves in the eleventh position in the league table and will enter this game on a strong note, picking up 10 points from their last four matches. Luis Garcia Plaza’s men have impressed following their promotion to the Spanish top flight this season. But they don’t have a good record against Madrid and this tie will be a difficult one for the visitors.

The Galacticos are certainly the heavy favorites coming into this fixture who have had an outstanding domestic campaign. They will enter this game off the back of a 4-0 win over Granada and officially secured the league title on 4th May. Carlo Ancelotti’s sole focus would now be adding another Champions League trophy to their brimming cabinet.

Meanwhile, Alaves have found it difficult on their travels as they struggled for consistency in the first half of the 2023/24 season. Luis Garcia Plaza’s side have impressed and could still climb a few places as they currently sit 11th with three games remaining. They still have a puncher’s chance of finishing in the top half of the La Liga table.

Predicted Score: Real Madrid 3-0 Alaves
