Roberto De Zerbi

Roberto De Zerbi to Bayern Munich? There’s no deal at the moment

Roberto De Zerbi will not manage Bayern Munich next season as per Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg. The news came out just hours after the Italian was announced departing Brighton, leaving him with more uncertainty during the summer.

Hunting managers for the upcoming season has become another issue in Bayern’s management apart from losing every title possible this season. Thomas Tuchel, who was announced to leave the club when the season ends, rumoured to be given a second chance.

“Confirmed from all parties involved that Roberto De Zerbi will not become the new coach at FC Bayern!” Plettenberg wrote in his X latest post. “Saga continues and time is running for Bayern as many players from the current squad and potential new signings want to know who the new coach will be.”

Roberto De Zerbi’s next destination remains a mystery

On the other hand, De Zerbi appears to be planning something else with his career after deciding to leave Brighton. It remains unclear about where the former Shakhtar Donetsk manager is heading to with some rumours keep coming up to the surface.

For the last two seasons in England, De Zerbi has shown his capacity of managing a middle team like Brighton. In his first season taking over the job from Graham Potter, he took The Seagulls to finish sixth and play in the Europa League

With the season over, De Zerbi is finding another stepping stone for his managerial career. The former Napoli midfielder has Sassuolo, Shakhtar, and Brighton on his portfolio. Careerwise, finding a bigger club is understandable for a rising manager like himself.
