Championship outfit Stoke City push for Óscar Zambrano’s signing

Stokes City’s bid to return to the Premier League is shaping up well as they look to build for the 2024-25 Championship season. Part of the club’s plan remains in the transfer window as they look to bolster their squad ahead of the new season. According to reports, the Championship club is looking to sign Óscar Zambrano from Ecuadorian side L.D.U. Quito. The 20-year-old midfielder has attracted interest from the side having shown glimpses of his talent at the club.

As things stand, Stoke City are pushing for the pursuit of the player who has been in great form for the last two seasons. He offers more versatility and can play in an attack role as well as a defensive role when required. If everything goes right, the club could get the player before the Championship season is underway in August. The club having been relegated from the Premier League in 2018 is pushing for a return in the 2025-26 season.

Stoke City has enquired about Crystal Palace outcast Jesurun Rak-Sakyi

Jesurun Rak-Sakyi has endured a frustrating spell at Crystal Palace as he made only six appearances for the Eagles last season. A loan move is likely the best option for the young forward and Stoke could land up Rak-Sakyi to freshen up their attacking ranks.

According to Sun, Stoke have enquired about 21-year-old Jesurun Rak-Sakyi who missed a large portion of last season with a hamstring injury. After an impressive 2022/23 season with Charlton, many expected Rak-Sakyi to break into the Eagles’ first-team squad last summer.

But he struggled to make any impression and that combined with injuries meant he managed only 232 minutes of senior football in the 2023/24 campaign.
