Premier League Standings and Table After Gameweek 24

Gameweek 24 in the Premier League saw a load of goals, with as many as 37 in the ten matches played. None of the games ended in a draw, with most of the favorites coming out victorious.

In terms of the league table, there were no drastic changes at the top, as all teams in the top 4 won their matches. Aston Villa lost to 6th placed Manchester United, and that saw them slip from 4th to 5th in the table.

The big shock at the weekend came in a relegation six-pointer as bottom-placed Sheffield United stunned Luton Town 3-1. They were the only side in the bottom six to win this week but remain 20th because of their -38 goal difference.

Latest Premier League Standings after Gameweek 24

The Gameweek with zero draws saw a few changes to the table as we enter the business end of the season. The top three remained intact, but Tottenham climbed to 4th after their win over Brighton & Aston Villa’s loss to Manchester United. 

Unai Emery’s side sit 5th in the Premier League table now, while Erik ten Hag’s men remained sixth after their win. Newcastle United moved up two places with their win over Nottingham Forest, while West Ham United and Brighton & Hove Albion slipped a place each to 8th and 9th respectively.

Chelsea are back in 10th after their late win over Crystal Palace, with Wolverhampton slipping to 10th following their loss to Brentford. Fulham’s win over Bournemouth saw them jump above their opponents.

Brentford managed to put some daylight between themselves and the relegation zone after collecting the three points at Molineux. Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest, Luton Town, Everton and Burnley suffered losses and remain in the relegation battle. 

Sheffield United were the only side in the bottom seven to pick up a win, but they remain at the bottom. The battle for survival remains a tight one as just 6 points separate 14th and 19th in the table.
