Al Shabad FC was founded in 1947. The football club is based in Riyadh which adds an outstanding uniqueness to its identity. Previously the club was named Shabab Al Riyadh. And in 1967 it was renamed to Al Shabad. Al Shabad has won the Saudi Premier  League 1990-91,1991-92,1992-93,2003-04,2005-06,2011-12. And they were runners-up in 1981-82,1984-85,1988-89,1997-98,2004-05,2020-21.

Al Shabad won Saudi’s King Cup title three times:2008,2009,2014  and were runners-up in 2013. The club also won Crown Prince Cup three times:1993,1996,1999. Al Shabad won Saudi Super Cup in the year 2014 and won Asia Cup title in 2001. Having numerous records is the great achievement of the football club Al Shabad.

The club has a huge fan base which makes each match exciting. The home ground of Al Shabad FC is Prince Faisal bin Fahd  Stadium with a capacity of 15,000 spectators. Khaled Al Thunayan is the president of Al Shabad FC. Guan Brown is the manager of the team. The season 2023-24 is the 47th season of the club.
