Chelsea has shown the exit door to Carney Chukwuemeka after his rumored wages have left fans in disbelief.
After the news of Carney Chukwuemeka’s staggering earnings, he could become the next Chelsea player to leave the club.
Since joining Chelsea from Aston Villa in 2022, Chukwuemeka only managed to play a mere 27 games in two seasons due to injuries. Though fit for the Manchester City game last weekend, he was left out of the game, similar to Raheem Sterling following a ‘technical decision” by Enzo Maresca. After the game, the manager hinted that the player could head out in the transfer window to secure more playing time.
“I think every case is different. Carney, I think he is a very good player.
“The problem is, because of some injuries in the past, I think the best for him is to play 30 or 35 games in a row, to show himself that he is fit and how good he is because he is very good. With us, is he going to play 35 games? I’m not sure.” said the Chelsea boss
Despite Chukwuemeka having a shorter deal than most at Stamford Bridge until 2028 compared to others, the decision has been made.

As per reports, the 20-year-old earns £115,000 a week, raising eyebrows for Chelsea. This has made the offloading effort harder and fans expressed their opinions online at his reported salary.
“Why on earth was he given wages like that? What had he done to justify anything near that? A very talented youngster, yes, but that is just outrageous!” One wrote
He’s on HOW much a week?! Chelsea under Clearlake is an absolute Circus and I’m fully here for it.” another followed.
The third was furious “£115k a week for a player with 2 Premier League starts before joining Chelsea.”
Finally the fourth: “No wonder why he was so desperate to leave Villa. From £2,000 a week to over £100,000. Insane money for a kid who hadn’t proved himself at any level.”
