Dominic Calvert-Lewin - Calvert-Lewin to Man United

Dominic Calvert-Lewin provides insights into his Everton future amidst Man United links

Premier League club Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been linked with a potential transfer move to league rival Man United in the ongoing summer transfer window.

Moreover, the reports of the England international not intending to sign a contract extension at Everton despite being offered one about a month before further raised questions about his future at the Merseyside club.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s current contract with the Toffees will expire after the end of the 2024-25 season.

The 27-year-old has been mostly on the sidelines due to injury concerns in the last couple of top-flight seasons or so. However, towards the end of the previous Premier League season, he did start to find some rhythm back in his performances.

Calvert-Lewin has a decent pre-season for Everton leading into the upcoming campaign. The striker scored against Preston North End (penalty goal) and further backed it up with another goal against AS Roma.

After the Toffees’ last pre-season game at the home ground Goodison, the 27-year-old had something to say and as he spoke he also ended up providing an insight into his future at Everton.

“It was a good shift from the lads”. “Good to get some more minutes in the legs and a nice confidence boost going into the first game of the season”.

From his statement, it can be inferred that mentally he is thinking about starting the new campaign with Everton at this stage and seems focused on doing well despite reports regarding contract-extension snub and Man United’s interest.
