Al Riyadh Football Club is a team with a great history. Al Riyadh FC was founded in 1953 which makes it one of the oldest and competitive football clubs in Saudi Arabia. The football club is based in Riyadh which adds an outstanding uniqueness to its identity. It was named Ahli Al Riyadh at first then the club changed its name to Al Yamamah and finally to Al Riyadh.

Al Riyadh is best known for its football team but they also have squads in other sports. Al Riyadh won one major title Crown Prince Cup title in the year 1994. The team also finished as runners-up in Saudi Premier League in the year 1994. The club has not yet won any top league.

The home ground of Al Riyadh is Prince Turki bin Abdul Aziz Stadium with a capacity of 15,000 spectators. Bandar Al Muqail is the president of Al Riyadh FC, and Yannick Ferrera is the manager of the team. The season 2023-24 is the first season of the club following their promotion from the First Division League in the previous season.
