The Gunners have turned down a formal approach from Saudi giants Al Ittihad for Arsenal’s best finisher Leandro Trossard. The 29-year-old is the most impactful player on the Arsenal bench and received a £30 million bid on the final day of their transfer window.

Arsenal has made clear that the Belgian forward is not up for sale and has already contributed towards 31 goals since arriving at the Emirates at the start of 2023. The arrival of Raheem Sterling on loan from Chelsea has raised questions over Trossard’s future in the first-team lineup.

Chelsea loanee Raheem Sterling has rejected a lucrative proposal to join Mikel Arteta’s side on the deadline day. The England international rejected a stunning £650,000-a-week offer from an unnamed club in Saudi Arabia in order to sanction a move to Arsenal.

Sterling has reportedly taken a pay to join from his £300,000-a-week wages at Chelsea to work with Mikel Arteta for the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign. He also retains his ambition to make it to the England squad for the 2026 World Cup.

Forgotten Arsenal defender Omar Rekik has terminated his contract with the North London giants on mutual consent. The 22-year-old defender is set to embark on a new challenge after failing to make a first-team appearance in his three-year spell with the club.

He had two loan spells with Wigan Atheltic, where he made a total of 25 appearances for the Championship side. Last season, Rekik was loaned out to Swiss side Servette in the January transfer window but the club failed to register the player and he was not eligible to play.

The Dutchman was frustrated with his lack of progression at the club and decided to end his tenure with Arsenal.

Crystal Palace have confirmed the signing of Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah in a deal worth in the region of £30 million and will pen a five-year contract. The homegrown striker was expected to join Marseille earlier this summer but the French club were reluctant to meet Arsenal’s asking price.

A move to Selhurst Park would offer Nketiah more guaranteed minutes in the first-team as he struggled to become Arteta’s preferred choice in the last few seasons. The 25-year-old has scored 38 goals in 168 appearances for the North London club.
