The Magpies have reportedly shown an interest in Chelsea trio Raheem Sterling, Noni Madueke and Axel Disasi, who all are seeking a move away from Stamford Bridge in the final week of the summer transfer window.

Chelsea are keen to get rid of plenty of first-team players who are currently not in part of Enzo Maresca’s plans going forward. Newcastle are considering taking advantage of this situation and make a move for Sterling, Madueke and Disasi who have reportedly been on Eddie Howe’s radar.

The Magpies are in desperate need of defensive and attacking reinforcements before the summer transfer window shuts down.

Newcastle United defender Kieran Trippier reportedly wants to leave the Magpies before the end of this summer transfer window. The England international who was an unused substitute in the season-opener against Southampton has one year remaining on his contract.

The veteran defender won the captain’s armband for most of his time with the Magpies, but Bruno Guimaraes has been elected as the new club captain this season. At the age of 33, Trippier wishes to explore other opportunities where he would be guaranteed first-team football.

He would be open to leaving St.James’ Park if the right opportunity comes along in the final few days of the summer window. Everton are reportedly amongst the suitors for the England veteran.

Former Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen is reportedly open to an exit this summer amid interest from Newcastle United in the last few days. With roughly over a week left in the summer transfer window, many Barcelona players including Christensen has been linked with an exit.

The 25-year-old defender could make a move to Crystal Palace, who are on the hunt for a central defender due to Marc Guehi’s increasing uncertainty with the Eagles.

The Magpies are reportedly interested in Barcelona winger Ferran Torres as the club are in desperate need of attacking reinforcements with both Anthony Gordon and Miguel Almiron linked with moves away.

Gomez is currently Liverpool’s fourth-choice centre-back behind Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate and Jarell Quansah. Newcastle manager Eddie Howe is keen to bolster the backline and could match Liverpool’s asking price for the England international.

He has been a great servant for Liverpool and is coming off the back of one of his best seasons in a Liverpool shirt.

Chelsea have now set a price tag for forward Noni Madueke, who has been linked with a move to Newcastle United this summer. The Blues will reportedly demand £30 million for the English winger and it remains to be seen whether the Magpies are willing to break the bank for him.

The 22-year-old has the technical attributes to thrive in English football and could develop into a top-class player with the right guidance. But, Newcastle are interested in signing him on loan, with an option to make the deal permanent next summer.

Madueke will seek regular game time at this stage of his career and that could be a fitting reason to join Eddie Howe’s side.

Liverpool defender Joe Gomez did not travel with the squad to Ipswich in the club’s first game of the 2024/25 Premier League campaign. The England international has been a dependable performer and asset for Liverpool due to his versatility as he can play anywhere across the backline.

According to The Times, Gomez is considering options with Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Fulham, and Chelsea all interested in signing the Liverpool defender. He doesn’t have a shortage of clubs vying for his signature and Liverpool could consider his exit if they receive around £40-45 million for him.

Joe Gomez is currently the fourth-choice centre-back at Liverpool and would struggle for minutes this season.

The Magpies are interested in hijacking a deal for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher who was reportedly closing in on a move to Atletico Madrid last week. But the move collapsed in the final hours because Chelsea failed to agree to personal terms to sign Atletico striker Samu Omorodion.

The 24-year-old successfully completed his medical with Atletico but he was now returned to London after he was left stranded in a Madrid hotel for five days waiting to complete his £33m transfer. Newcastle United have now entered the race for his services.
