Former Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen is reportedly open to an exit this summer amid interest from Newcastle United in the last few days. With roughly over a week left in the summer transfer window, many Barcelona players including Christensen has been linked with an exit.

Apart from Ilkay Gundogan’s move back to Manchester City, Barcelona have failed to sanction any notable departures. Newcastle United are in the market for defensive reinforcements and have shown an interest in Andreas Christensen who is also reportedly keen to leave Camp Nou this summer.

It was reported that Barcelona would demand around €30 million for the 28-year-old Dane international.

Gomez is currently Liverpool’s fourth-choice centre-back behind Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate and Jarell Quansah. Newcastle manager Eddie Howe is keen to bolster the backline and could match Liverpool’s asking price for the England international.

He has been a great servant for Liverpool and is coming off the back of one of his best seasons in a Liverpool shirt.

Chelsea have now set a price tag for forward Noni Madueke, who has been linked with a move to Newcastle United this summer. The Blues will reportedly demand £30 million for the English winger and it remains to be seen whether the Magpies are willing to break the bank for him.

The 22-year-old has the technical attributes to thrive in English football and could develop into a top-class player with the right guidance. But, Newcastle are interested in signing him on loan, with an option to make the deal permanent next summer.

Madueke will seek regular game time at this stage of his career and that could be a fitting reason to join Eddie Howe’s side.

According to The Times, Gomez is considering options with Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Fulham, and Chelsea all interested in signing the Liverpool defender. He doesn’t have a shortage of clubs vying for his signature and Liverpool could consider his exit if they receive around £40-45 million for him.

Joe Gomez is currently the fourth-choice centre-back at Liverpool and would struggle for minutes this season.

Newcastle United plotting to hijack Conor Gallagher move

The Magpies are interested in hijacking a deal for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher who was reportedly closing in on a move to Atletico Madrid last week. But the move collapsed in the final hours because Chelsea failed to agree to personal terms to sign Atletico striker Samu Omorodion.

The 24-year-old successfully completed his medical with Atletico but he was now returned to London after he was left stranded in a Madrid hotel for five days waiting to complete his £33m transfer. Newcastle United have now entered the race for his services.
