As the business end of the Premier League nears, let’s take a look at the remaining games for the three title contenders Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool to find out who has the best fixtures in the Premier League to run away with the league!
The Best Fixtures in the Premier League: Who has the easiest path to glory?
In what is turning out to be a historic title chase in the English Premier League, three clubs continue to grind till the end to secure the title of English champions. Reigning champions Man City have shown great quality every season in this phase of the league and will look to maximize their points under pressure. Meanwhile, Liverpool and Arsenal who have both been victims of falling short in the final stretch of the season in the past few campaigns will look to learn from their mistakes and keep themselves in contention.
However, it is almost important to consider the path of all three clubs leading up to the end. Let’s take a look at who the best fixtures in the Premier League lead up to the end and perhaps the easiest path to potential glory.
1.) Arsenal
Current PL Ranking: 1
Points: 64
GD: 46+
The Gunners weren’t in action on the weekend before the international break and for the moment they are the league leaders. Arsenal found themselves in a similar position last season before a shocking dip in form saw them crucial points and finish in 2nd spot, 4 points behind champions Manchester City. While they have some difficult fixtures up ahead, if Mikel Arteta has learnt anything from last season’s failure, he will definitely ensure his side is prepared. Arteta will be happy as his side has managed to recover important players from injury coming into the business end of the season.
While Arsenal are still in the UEFA Champions League and will soon play Bayern Munich in the quarter finals, they will consider themselves lucky to be not involved in FA Cup proceedings.
The extra cup games would’ve been an additional burden on a very young and improving side. However, fewer games to play don’t necessarily reduce the burden on the side as they are set to face four of the ‘Big Six’ in the last ten match days. A tie against reigning champions right on the other side of the international break will have direct implications on where they will stand. They will also face Chelsea, Tottenham and Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United. Aston Villa have been impressive this season away as well and Arsenal may not be at their strongest when they face them in between the two legged Champions League quarter finals against Bayern Munich.
In the lead up to the business end of the season, Arsenal would consider themselves to not have the best fixtures in the Premier League.

With four ties against clubs part of the ‘Big Six’ and a difficult trip away to Brighton and top four contenders Aston Villa in their final ten games, Arsenal certainly won’t have the best fixtures in the Premier League.
Difficulty Rating: 8.5/10
2.) Liverpool:
Current PL Ranking: 2
Points: 64
GD: 39+
As we analyze the best fixtures in the Premier League for the three title contenders, next up are the pride of Merseyside, Liverpool. In Jurgen Klopp’s last season at the club’s helm, Liverpool FC are serious title contenders at par with table toppers Arsenal on points and one point above reigning champions, City. The Reds have already won a trophy this year after defeating Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final and have secured a quarter-final in the Europa League.
Compared to Arsenal, Liverpool faces only two of the ‘Big Six’. While tricky fixtures against Everton and Unai Emery’s Aston Villa await the Reds, they will consider themselves lucky not to have to face City or Arsenal. They will also be extremely motivated to avenge their FA Cup loss against Man United as they travel to Old Trafford on 7 April. In terms of the best fixtures in the Premier League, Liverpool certainly has an easier path to becoming champions in Klopp’s last campaign compared to Arteta’s Arsenal. However, it will be interesting to see how the Reds navigate the business end of the season as they nurse a long injury list.

3.) Man City:
Current PL Ranking: 3
Points: 63
GD: 35
The reigning champions, Man City. A treble winning season last campaign highlighted the squad’s exceptional depth and ability to be the best side under pressure. This season, the blue side of Manchester are faced with a similar test as they contend with Liverpool and Arsenal to conquer the Premier League yet again. City don’t have the best fixtures in the Premier League but City rarely needs an easy path to emerge victorious. Given their ability to thrive under pressure, they just might do it.
City will face two of the ‘Big Six’ as they take on Arsenal in a head-on fight right after the international break. The postponed away fixture against Tottenham will also congest their schedule in May. Realistically, given City’s prowess, despite having a difficult schedule one could argue they have the best fixtures in the Premier League to secure the championship.
