5. Antonee Robinson – Fulham | 40 points | £4.7m
Antonee Robinson is now pretty widely recognised as one of the best wide defenders in the Premier League. In terms of Fantasy Premier League, he ranks highly among defenders for total points scored so far. Robinson has a habit of locking down his wing and gets a lot of bonus points too. He provides a two way threat that includes 3 assists this season. Fulham have had a decent season so far and sit 7th in the Premier League this season. They have conceded only 13 times in the Premier League this season and this weekend, they face Wolves. The American is expected to do well this weekend against them.
4. Lewis Hall – Newcastle | 32 points | £4.4m
Lewis Hall has emerged as a solid Fantasy Premier League defensive option and this is particularly important because of the potential that he has and his cheap £4.4m price tag. The Chelsea academy graduate has emerged as a starter in this Newcastle side and has really made an impression. The Magpies made a poor start to the season but they have recovered of late, beating Arsenal and Chelsea recently. Both Newcastle and Hall will be eager to continue their good showing this weekend, as they take on a poor West Ham side. He could be on for some attacking returns this weekend.

3. Ibrahima Konate – Liverpool | 46 points | £5.4m
Ibrahima Konate is very interesting defensive asset in Fantasy Premier League. Liverpool have been very very solid defensively and Konate has been a cornerstone of their defence. He is also coming off a fantastic international break where he captained France to a win against Italy. Interestingly, in 11 games, Konate also has a goal and an assist meaning he is a threat in the opponent box from set pieces too. Liverpool play lowly Southampton this weekend and Konate is expected to get a lot of points. He is becoming one of the best defenders in the league and the weekend.
2. Noussair Mazraoui – Manchester United | 39 points | £4.6m
Manchester United have a very interesting game coming up. This will be their first game under the management of Ruben Amorim and the new manager is known for getting a lot of output from his wingbacks. Mazraoui will be expected to be no different playing in a 3 man defensive system with wingbacks assuming an important role. Mazraoui will look to do his best to lock that position down. The Moroccan is a very intelligent footballer and has probably been United’s best player this season. They play a weak Ipswich Town this weekend and at least a clean sheet is expected. He could be in line for some attacking returns.
1. Virgil Van Dijk – Liverpool | 56 points | £6.3m
Liverpool are flying pretty high right now and are on top of both the Premier League table and Champions League standings. They have the best defensive record in the league. For Virgil Van Dijk, that is a steady source of points. In fact, Van Dijk happens to be the defender with the most points in the Fantasy Premier League this season. This goes in line with the fact that he has been among the best in the world. Consistency is a large feature of the Dutchman’s game. Liverpool play Southampton this weekend and for Van Dijk, it is almost a guaranteed clean sheet.
As we turn our attention to Gameweek 12, the Premier League serves up another tantalizing set of fixtures. The highlight of the weekend is undoubtedly the game between Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur. Both teams are in desperate need of a win, but Manchester City in particular need something positive after 4 consecutive losses.
Manchester United are the other big talking point of the season as they take the field for the first time under new manager Ruben Amorim. Ipswich Town are their opponents for the weekend.
The deadline for Gameweek 12 is on November 23rd.
