Fantasy Premier League GW11: Key Injury Updates and Team News

Gameweek 11 of the Fantasy Premier League is here and it is very important to pick the correct team. For that it is crucial to be aware of absentees, be it through injuries or suspension. Let us go through this week’s absentees.

AFC Bournemouth

Bournemouth face Brentford this weekend in an exciting fixture. Alex Scott (knee) and Dango Ouattara will miss this game. Luis Sinisterra and Kepa Arrizabalaga are in doubt for this fixture and will be assessed further.

Arsenal

Arsenal travel to Chelsea this weekend, but they will be without Riccardo Calafiori (knee), Kieran Tierney (thigh), Declan Rice (foot) and Takehiro Tomiyasu (knee). Mikel Merino is unwell and Kai Havertz requires stitches for a cut on his face, so both of them will be re-evaluated. Raheem Sterling is also out as he can’t face his parent club.

Aston Villa

Aston Villa have a difficult game against Liverpool this weekend. Most of their squad is fit, barring Ross Barkley and Matty Cash who have minor issues and will miss the game. Morgan Rogers is expected to take part.

Brentford

Brentford host high-flying Bournemouth this weekend. Igor Thiago (knee), Josh DaSilva (knee), Rico Henry (knee), Aaron Hickey (thigh) and Gustavo Nunes (back) are all out injured. Kristoff Ajer has an ankle issue and is expected back in December.

Brighton

Brighton have a very difficult game this weekend as they face Manchester City. They have a long injury list. Adam Webster (thigh) and James Milner (thigh) are out. Joao Pedro (ankle) and Matt O’Riley (ankle) are expected to be back. Lewis Dunk (calf) and Yankuba Minteh (groin) will be subjected to late fitness tests. Yasin Ayari is training again and could feature too. Solly March is not expected to return yet.

Chelsea

Chelsea have a potentially massive absentee in Cole Palmer in their game against Arsenal this weekend. However, with the international break coming up, they might take the risk as he only has a knock. Jadon Sancho has a knock too and will be re-evaluated while Omari Kellyman has hamstring stress.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace face Fulham this weekend at home. Jefferson Lerma (hamstring strain), Chadi Riad (knee), Chris Richards (thigh) and Matheus Franca (hip) are all out injured. Rob Holding is training alone for some other issue. Joel Ward and Cheick Doucoure are expected to return. Will Hughes be suspended through yellow card accumulation? More worryingly though, Adam Wharton will require groin surgery and Eberechi Eze is also out for a few weeks.

Everton

Everton travel to West Ham this weekend. But they will be without the services of Tim Iroegbunam (foot), Youssef Chermiti (foot), Armando Broja (calf) and Dele Alli (hip). James Garner has a back problem and is out.

Fulham

Fulham face Crystal Palace this weekend. Sasa Lukic (shoulder) is the only one expected to miss out.

Ipswich

Axel Tuanzebe (wrist), Massimo Luongo (ankle), Jacob Greaves (thigh), Harry Clarke (red) and Chiedozie Ogbene (Achilles) are all going to miss Ipswich’s game against Tottenham this weekend.

Leicester City

Leicester City have Patson Daka (foot) and Hamza Choudhary (shoulder) out for the game against Ipswich Town.

Liverpool

Liverpool face a tough test against Aston Villa this weekend. Alisson (thigh), Diogo Jota (abdominal), Federico Chiesa (undisclosed) as well as Harvey Elliott (ankle) will all miss the action. Ibrahima Konate is expected to take part.

Manchester City

Manchester City have a couple of long-term injuries in Rodri (ACL) and Oscar Bobb (broken leg). John Stones has picked up a new foot injury. Jack Grealish is still out too. Kyle Walker, Jeremy Doku and Savinho are all expected to play against Brighton.

Manchester United

Harry Maguire (calf), Leny Yoro (ankle), Luke Shaw (calf) and Tyrell Malacia (knee) are all nearing returns but not ready just yet. Kobbie Mainoo, Antony, Mason Mount and Christian Eriksen are all expected to be in the squad for the game against Leicester this weekend.

Newcastle

Newcastle United have a number of injuries. Jamaal Lascelles (knee), Sven Botman (knee) and Callum Wilson (back) aren’t likely to be back any time soon. Jacob Murphy is likely to return but this weekend’s game against Nottingham Forest might be too soon for Kieran Trippier.

Nottingham Forest

The surprise story of this season, Nottingham Forest are 3rd in the table. Danilo (ankle) and Ibrahim Sangare (thigh) are both out and will be for a while.

Southampton

Southampton have Gavin Bazunu (Achilles tendon), Ross Stewart (calf) William Smallbone (thigh) all out injured verus Wolves. Ryan Fraser and Adam Lallana will be assessed before the game.

Tottenham Hotspur

Djed Spence had a groin problem and is expected to return. Wilson Odobert suffered a setback in recovery from a thigh injury and will miss action. Micky Van de Ven and Richarlison (both thigh issues) will out for a few weeks. Cristian Romero, Timo Werner and Mikey Moore will all miss Europa League action but should be fine for the game against Ipswich Town.

West Ham

West Ham will be without Mo Kudus and Edson Alvarez through suspension and Niclas Fullkrug (calf) through injury versus Everton.

Wolves

Wolves have a few long term injuries in Yerson Mosquera (ACL), Sasa Kalajdzic (ACL) and Boubacar Traore (knee). Hee-Chan Hwang (ankle) isn’t fit just yet while keeper Sam Johnstone is expected to return to the squad to face Southampton.
